Topolnikova, A. The influence of investor attention on the oil market. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the impact of selected indicators on the profitability of oil futures contracts and the profitability of shares of companies operating in the field of oil production. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the possibilities of investing in oil, presents the most important methods of stock valuation and determinants affecting oil prices. A separate chapter is devoted to investor sentiment. Where methods of measuring sentiment and expressing attention are presented with the help of searching for a certain term in Google Trends. The practical part is devoted to the relationship between the performance of ExxonMobil stock, WTI crude oil futures contracts and other selected indicators through correlation and regression analysis. Based on the information obtained from the theoretical and practical parts of the work, recommendations for investors are formulated.
Fossil Fuels Lobby and Climate Change: Influencing the Discourse in Politics and Media

Climate change denial is a widely spread phenomenon in the United States that has for decades shaped the country's response to the numerous environmental challenges it has been facing. This thesis deals with the role of the American fossil fuels lobby in the analyzed matter, as it constituted the main force behind its rise. The main goal of the thesis is to prove that the success of the climate change denial orchestrated by the fossil fuels industry was enabled by its ties to the political establishment. Moreover, it argues that this was done by using professionally drafted strategies, which turned a once-widely-accepted fact - backed by a scientific consensus - into a matter of debate, opinion, politics, ideology, and identity. In order to do that, the thesis firstly covers the historical development of the climate debate in the United Sates. It looks at the major milestones in the country's approach in dealing with the problem of the environment as well as the emergence of the climate change denial campaign itself. Secondly, it analyzes the various connections between U.S. politics, special interests, and climate science from the 1970s until the end of the George W. Bush Administration. The main aim of the following thesis is the ExxonMobil stock investment analysis and finding of the investment recommendation. The paper is based on available fundaments in global, sectorial and enterprise economy, which are used for comparison of share's actual price and its intrinsic value. Technical analysis is an additional part used for the share price determination in short term. It is also used for making conclusion and approach recommendation to this financial instrument.
American companies in today´s world economy

The aim of this thesis is to identify the position of US companies in the world economy. The first chapter describes the origin and the history of the companies, the current trends of foreign direct investment and an analysis of a number of employees and US companies. The second part contains an overview of US company ExxonMobil and shows its position based on specific factors(foreign direct investment, employment within the company, the outcome of its strategic divisions, dedication to safety and corporate social responsibility. The factors described above are analysed based on the available statistical data.
ExxonMobil International Marketing Strategy

Master thesis ExxonMobil International Marketing Strategy deals mainly with brand management and communication strategy of ExxonMobil Corporation and its selected competitors (Royal Dutch Shell plc, BP p.l.c.). Elements of these strategies are compared and based on the SWOT analysis strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of ExxonMobil strategy are identified. In conclusion, the thesis introduces recommendations for possible changes in ExxonMobil marketing strategy. The work itself is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter introduces the corporation, its structure and strategy. Second part describes ExxonMobil's brand management and communication strategy. The following part is focused on the description of the selected aspects of marketing strategy within the competitors - Royal Dutch Shell plc and BP p.l.c. The final chapter presents comparison of the competitors' strategies, SWOT analysis for ExxonMobil marketing strategy and offers recommendations for possible changes in the corporation strategy.
